So a combination of being bored and needing to cook almost an entire bag of potatoes led to this day.
Dustin and I started it off by having baked potatoes for lunch.
Then it went south from there.
I decided to make baked potato chips.
Round one: disaster.
From this round I learned not to coat them in olive oil.
Round two: slightly less disaster.
From this round I learned that I think the slices were too thick. Plus a took off a chunk of my finger in the grater.
Round 3: The finished product was actually really good...
for the 5 chips that didn't burn to a chard.
So then while speaking to Sam I decided to made Scalloped potatoes or Au Gratin, I still don't know the difference. They looked really good while I was making them (with the exception of the fact that I knew they'd be runny since we didn't have flour). Then I tasted them... I'm not quite sure why but the milk got weird in the oven... not to appetizing.
Scalloped/Au Gratin Potatoes: Looks awesome, tastes sub-par.
So basically I ran through 7ish pounds of potatoes, almost a block of cheese, the rest of my milk, and a ton of garlic salt.
