The newbies

Mortar Board Initiation was much needed. I have been mentally checked out of school for months, ADPi is my bright light in the tunnel, but I was wanting to get rid of some of my commitments, namingly my leadership position in MB. 

I have totally loved the position, especially the time between tapping and initiation. Buuuuuttt, that doesn't mean that I wasn't waiting for a break. The grand finale to my position as selections chair was initiation. and I think everything came together really well.

I am a co-selections chair for Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society. Which has been awesome. And we had the pleasure of being big parts in the selections process for our 2011-2012 MB group.

Back in the day the MB ladies (back then it was an all women's organization) would dress in all black and go to their dorm rooms chanting to wake them up and thus, tapping them into MB. Well, we don't live in dorms anymore, and thats ultra creepy, so we meet in front of Old Main to share with them our history and then share chocolate cake (tradition).

Catch up time: Homecoming week part 1

As you may remember our homecoming celebration was with Beta, Dustins fraternity. Dream. come. true.

I'm a little peeved that I couldn't be nominated for Homecoming Queen (because of Mortar Board).

MB picks HC King and Bobcats picks the Queen... My thoughts are if a girl is on MB she should be able to run because MB has nothing to do with Queen.

Oh well, When 1 door closes another one opens.
