Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

Recently? Huge impact? No idea.

My 4.0 is very important to me. It's been something I've been striving for for-ever and I'm so happy to have it.

But the most recent thing that has had a huge impact on my life has been my uncles death.

This Christmas season has been really rough. My brother took over his tradition of wrapping our gifts in the funnies from the newspaper, but it doesn't make up for him not being with us.

At least physically.

I know he is with me all the time.

Before I die, I would like to visit New York City, again.

I would love to go over the summer to experience it when it isn't freezing, and I'd also love to go during Christmas time.

Some stops on my trip: Central Park for a picnic, and the Empire State Building for some sights, and a boat ride around the coast would be awesome.

I've had the opportunity to see them a few times, and it has been absolutely wonderful!

The start of Christmas time vacations

On Thursday we (Nicki, Dustin, and I) left for California. We were most excited because Friday = Disneyland!

SO we got into San Diego around 11pm and then we went straight to bed.

It rained the whole day, which sucked, but it kept the lines short and us in sexy parkas. It was such a great start to Christmas break, and we had a blast. Super sad Kieren couldn't be there, next time. :(

I'm not exactly a crazy person. I've never even smoked pot. But I do like to go out and have fun :)

A someone who I've gotten pretty crazy with, is a Nicki. :) She's all kinds of fun, and I'm looking forward to even more awesome times together.

The majority of our crazy times have been in Vegas. Which is why I'm looking forward to our next trip.

With two of my loves, Nicki and Dustin, we're going to Disneyland tomorrow (wish Kieren was with us), and enjoying San Diego on Saturday (provided the weather complies with us) before Nicki goes home on Sunday. This is a hard one. I may like material things like clothes and stuff, I would never consider those treasured items.

Two things that come to mind are the ring Dustin got me for Valentines Day last year...

and Chauncey.

The ring because it constantly reminds me of the love Dustin and I share, and Chauncey because he is a reminder that I can do big things on my own. It's nice to say I bought him with my own money. :)

I don't see how it's possible to pick a favorite memory. So I'll share with you one I just think is fabulous.

This is my Uncle Eric. :) If you know me you already know how much he means to me. He passed away this past March, but he lives with me in my heart.

Catching up time: Thanksgiving, part 4

Saturday, I went with the family, to meet some cousins I never had before, to support their son at his hockey game!

Afterwards we went to lunch... at Sauce... extra fabulous. It was sooo nice getting to spend time with them (also Sheldon who was not pictured... and dad was there too :] ), I feel like my family is getting bigger everyday!

Then mom and I got some fabric and refurnished our crappy kitchen chairs into beautiful ones! Tutorial here.
